Introduction:
This year, Arab Telemedia Productions lights 25 candles of its life filled with the achievements that put it in the category of the most important institution working in the sector of telemedia productions and made its name synonym of success crowned with the pearls of its productions in the field of Arab television drama, reflecting high standard artistic potentials which gained the appreciation of critics and viewers.
The silver jubilee comes while ATP is embarking upon new experiences in the world of audio-visual media, benefiting from the enormous developments in the new media to introduce to the Arab public the most recent media productions that include a vast list of services and new production lines such as mobile and internet.
On the occasion of its jubilee anniversary, ATP prepares a number of top-level drama series varies between the historical, social and Bedouin.
The direction of Arab Telemedia Productions is well aware of the necessity of intensifying the communication with the multi-media institutions through providing them with the informative materials concerning ATP to cope with its quick progress. Lately, it launched its website http://www.arabtelemedia.net which gives a comprehensive picture of its prospects and services.
Our silver jubilee summarizes 25 years of life. We are proud of the achievements we realized and of our contribution in bridging the gap between art and culture. During those years, our company accumulated experience and credibility that qualified it to be a title of a distinguished Arab drama.
One of our personalities:
Adnan Awamleh.. The spiritual father of the modern Jordanian drama
We can not talk about the modern Jordanian drama without referring to Adnan Awamleh who is the spiritual father of this industry. He represents a whole generation of pioneers who succeeded through their efforts and initiatives to put the Jordanian drama in a high-ranking position in the arena of Arab drama and give it a distinctive quality and flavor.
Adnan Awamleh, the founder of ATP, began his practical life 40 years ago as a director at Jordan Television. In 1983, he established this company with a group of pioneers under the name of Arab Telemedia Services. He led it with capability for 15 years, putting before his eyes the aim of creating an Arab telemedia edifice to serve the Arab society and viewer.
The experience of Adnan Awamleh could be divided in two key phases:
1. The phase of founding.
During this stage, the company achieved a remarkable position on the Arab level and reserved an important place for the Jordanian drama in the Arab world in a critical period of its history.
2. The phase of innovation and modernization when the founder handed over the flag of the company to a new ambitious generation of young people who promoted it to new levels of creativity and restructured it to be a modern establishment which is considered as one of the biggest homes of expertise in the Arab world.
Our participations…from The Gulf Festival to the International Emmy Awards:
ATP participates in the activities of The Gulf Festival for Radio and Television Productions, one of the most important artistic demonstrations to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain (22-24/4/2008).
As usual, the participation of Arab Telemedia Productions will be vast and varied throughout the following series: The Bedouin "Nimer Bin Adwan" and "Ras Ghlais", the historical "Abna'a Alrasheed: Al'ameen wal Ma'amoon", and "El Ijtiyah", the first Arab social drama that deals with the Palestinian actual life. With El Ijtiyah (The Invasion), a series written by Riyad Saif and directed by Shawqi Almajeri, ATP participates in The International Emmy Awards which will be held in New York by the end of this year. The festival is a precious opportunity to be acquainted with the participant states that had long experience in the field of television and motion pictures productions in Asia, Europe and Southern America.
One of our stars:
Yasir Almasri... The Jordanian knight of the Bedouin drama
Yasir Almasri shined through his participation in a number of Bedouin series produced by ATP. He appeared as a first rank star in this restored drama style. His role in the character of Sheikh Raddad in the first part of Ras Ghlais series was a milestone in his artistic career. It led him to play Nimer's role in the Bedouin series Nimer Bin Adwan.
If success opens the way towards another success, Almasri will jump in Ramadan this year from the horseback of Nimer Bin Adwan to the horseback of another knight; but this time he will express himself through drawing the sword of Odeh Abu-Tayeh, not through poetry as he did in "Nimer Bin Adwan"…!

Ahdath alqarn al'eshreen (The Events of the 20th Century)
This documentary program is about the main events of the century that witnessed deep transformations on the social, economic and political levels accompanied with wars and resulted in changes of the modern world. This program also highlighted the domination of the consumption values in modern societies which gave rise to popular protests all over the world.
"Ahdath alqarn al'eshreen" represents an encyclopedic library and an open window on the events of a whole century documented in words and images to illustrate a century described as the most violent and rich in events and transformations. It witnessed the death of many dreams and shifts in conceptions and values that paved the way to the emergence of a new world ruled by globalization.
